The treatment was unnecessary; we still don’t understand the logic behind the hostess’s treatment. The bread was lightly toasted. Fair prices, modern environment with light music and the staff was observed taking amazing care to keep everything clean-did not see any dirt on concern anywhere. The chef modified the pork dish so that it was low FODMAP to avoid my food intolerances.

The server was friendly and the food was delicious. Our server was very kind and gave excellent service. The entire staff ... from our greeter to our server to our runners were awesome!!!!! Our private event space seats up to 45. I’m thankful that they are open to serve such delicious food, but 45 minutes for a burger that only had pickles and meat on it is a little crazy.
We do require a credit card for reservations of all sizes and have a no-show fee of $15 per person. The eggplant dish had very few, thin slices of eggplant, and was mostly green (shishito?) The food was good but for me the menus just did not make sense. During the virus situation it is offering outdoor seating. We saw everyone’s food being brought out, and even saw 2 couples that came after us leave after finishing their meals. My partner had a chicken leg which he seemed to like well enough. Desert was the real stinker (which to their credit, they comped after some discussion). Bar/Lounge, Beer, Cafe, Chef's Table, Cocktails, Corkage Fee, Counter Seating, Delivery, Full Bar, Non-Smoking, Outdoor dining, Patio/Outdoor Dining, Private Room, Takeout, View, Weekend Brunch, Wheelchair Access, Wine. To ensure that everyone can enjoy Rhubarb, we ask that you limit your visit with us to 1 hour and 30 minutes. On the up side, our waitress took care of us and the wine list was interesting but all in all it was rather a disappointment for me. We waited a good 40-45 minutes for our burger. We could not have picked a better spot to begin our Asheville weekend. The wait staff was kind, but the hostess was so rude that I would never go back there again. Always spot on. Lovely outdoor dinner on a short vacation during COVID, so happy that the staff wearing masks. All our food had incredible taste and was super fresh. They created a fabulous dish. So, two dishes in, shared, I was already feeling rather full but that may be my fault for having selected heavy starters so I opted for the green salad with feta and “ pickled” blueberries for my mains. Honestly, it would be better to have it fully toasted. Rhubarb asks that parties of 7 or more please contact the restaurant directly. Great food.
The “goat”...buratta was a massive lump seemingly tossed onto a large plate with a mountain of “toasts” and not enough of the onion marmalade (and no “compote” and just two tiny “shallot crisps”) to accompany it. My husband and I enjoyed three starters and 1 entree and this was more than enough to fill us up.

Service was great and can people watch while sitting outside. They have a limited menu (about five entrees) which change regularly. My husband’s only complaint was that his martini seemed smaller than normal.

We asked our waitress and she did apologize and mentioned they’ve only been open 2 weeks since Covid. We were also impressed with the team effort. We came as part of our elopement/honeymoon. This includes info about cleaning, sanitizing, social distancing, and usage of personal protective equipment. We explained we did reserve, and we were still told by extremely rude hostess the open tables for two were for other patrons who has yet to arrive. Mellon salad was surprisingly outstanding. Drinks were wonderful too!
Nothing to rave about at all. The squash fritters were mostly dough, albeit fairly light and well enough fried.

He was there when we arrived at 6 and still there at 830. The tiramisu was dry, flavorless, and heavy as a rock. The service we received at other restaurants in Asheville was exemplary, and we tipped the kitchen and the wait staff well. It had amazing flavors!
