Some parks were reopened mid-May, others will open on June 1 & one can hope Cathedral Grove’s reopening will be close behind.
The grove, which includes giant Douglas fir trees that are more than 800 years old and more than nine metres in circumference, straddles a busy highway in MacMillan Provincial Park about 25 kilometres west of Qualicum Beach. MacMillan park covers both sides of Highway 4 for at least 4km. water, maybe a jacket (you’ll be in the shade). Wish we have had more than 45 min.
